This video essay is a defense of Slavoj Žižek created in the aftermath of Gabriel Rockhill’s essay “Capitalism’s Court Jester: Slavoj Zizek.” Here I attempt to place both Žižek and Rockhill within historical context and reframe the debate by breaking with the typical practice of character assassination that has developed through the online left.
